Traralgon and Morwell Shopping Centres, Victoria

In the 1980s the Grollo Group continued to build shopping centres in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The Latrobe Valley in Gippsland, located only 70 minutes from the outskirts of Melbourne, was steadily growing from the 1950s as it became the state's centre for electricity production. Today the Latrobe Valley has a population of over 75,000 residents.

Morwell's Mid-Valley Shopping Centre (completed 1982) and the Traralgon Shopping Centre (completed 1984) are both located in the Latrobe Valley.

The Mid-Valley Shopping Centre in Morwell is Gippsland's largest shopping centre. It offers customers a convenient shopping experience with major retailers including Target, Big W, Safeway, Coles and Bunnings, and a Village Cinema complex.

The Traralgon Shopping Centre (now Stockland Traralgon) is located within the regional city's largest commercial centre. As well as the major retailers Coles and Kmart, the centre includes more than 40 specialty retailers incorporating food, fashion, giftware, entertainment and services. The centre is open seven days a week.
